INSIDE CORNER

Well at least we're dry again! In spite of my hopeful prediction that the Lady Chapel roof would be watertight in July it actually took until late August to get the whole project completed. Not only did it take much longer than we thought but it also inevitably cost more too with the result that a few hundred pounds gained by the thieves has cost nearly £8k, including VAT of £1,200, to put right. As the insurers will only pay £5K it's left us with a substantial shortfall so any little donation towards the excess cost would be much appreciated. The good news is that we've resurfaced it with a rubberised material that should last 20+ years so there won't be any temptation for anyone pinching it in future. Now that's progress!
