Yes it’s that time again! December 4th & 5th will see our Church alight with Christmas trees. It’s a fantastic sight. Last year was the best year yet and we hope to get even more trees this time. Come and help us shed “light” on Christmas. A good time will be had by all. Lunches and teas available on both days Share in the joy and happiness this Christmas time. See you there.

Canon David Tilley
& Bethlehem School

David Tilley will preach at St Peter’s at 10.15 on Sunday 7th November.

David spent the first three months of this year in Bethlehem as a volunteer driver who is able to get through checkpoints more easily with a foreign passport. A secondary role involved facilitating our diocesan links with the Syrian Orthodox Church.

The Bethlehem School is one of St Peter’s link organisations. It opened in 2003 with just 15 children. An extension was added in 2006 to provide 5 more classrooms. Like every Christian school in present day Palestine revenue depends on fee-paying students and outside financial help.

Many supporters have visited the school over the years. All have been overwhelmed by the reception they received from the children, teachers and parents, all are so delighted with the school which is a Beacon of Hope in a very dark area of the world.

Walk on Water

Learning to trust Jesus through life’s storms. An opportunity to meet in small groups for open discussion of the questions we don’t always feel able to ask and to explore how we can draw strength from God.

St Peter’s Church Centre 7.30pm Wednesdays 17, 24 November, 1 December.

To register contact Linda Mitchell 07523 088522.

When our faith is dented...

When we're asked ‘how can God let this happen?
