INSIDE CORNERIt was great to see so many people at our coffee morning the other week and I love Elizabeth’s description of an army of strong deliverers because so many of you were there too. As I say so often, we couldn’t survive without you. I was privileged to meet some of the 87 strong band who go round month after month. There ought to be an award because I know some have been involved almost from day one, and that’s over 25 years. Another regularly travels over 14 miles each month delivering to the outlying farms and homesteads. I’d love to hear from you all because I’d like to thank you for all you do quietly and unobtrusively in the background. Someone else who works quietly and unobtrusively in the background is Sarah, our Diary Diva. However, having taken on work in a different direction she is going to retire. If anyone has a little spare time and would like to join our team as the Diary Organiser please get in touch and I’ll let you know what’s involved. Mac

Putting the X-Factor back into Xmas'Wellesbourne Churches Together' are hoping to arrange as many Christmas Nativity Cribs as possible to be displayed around Wellesbourne from 1st December to 6th January 2011. I know that Christmas seems a long way off, but I need to co-ordinate a planned walk around Wellesbourne so that everyone can see them. We would love to invite you to participate in this event and have one in your home. The Crib scene can be of any medium, posters, 3D, picture, sculpture, etc. in any style, Traditional or Modern. The only thing is that it must be able to be seen by the general public at ALL times. We would love you to participate in this event as It would be a great asset to the village. I need to know by the end of this month if you want to show one of the Crib scenes in your home/ garden. Please contact me on 01789 841635 or bemorgan27@btinternet.com Thank you Ruth Morgan GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLINDWe shall be holding our Autumn coffee morning at St Peter’s Church Centre on 23rd October 10am to 12 noon. We had such a lovely morning when we held our Spring event so again we will have cakes, a raffle, gifts for everyone, Christmas cards and a books and DVD stall. David our guide dog owner with his guide dog Pickle will be on hand to explain how the Charity helps the visually impaired. Again there will be puppies, dogs in training, retired dogs ready to welcome you and of course our special stud dog Marco and his mum Brenda. Just a reminder that the box for used postage stamps is still at the chemist; it is a very good way of raising funds. For further information contact Eileen Hollis 841011 or Judith 841062.
