20 Walks in Shipston Country

A Reflection
When I started to read this Book,
I was immediately very impressed by the very clear Route instructions and also
the detailed descriptions of the Towns, Villages and other Places of interest.
A Summary of the Walks is attached.
Having now completed all 20
Walks, I strongly recommend them. I have been fascinated by the new bits of
country I walked through and the detail that I have discovered about the places
and landmarks en route. I intend continuing to walk these routes, and others, 1
or 2 times a week probably on Monday or Thursday and would be very happy for
others to join me.
If you would like to send me your
email address, I can circulate details, a day or 2 before, of what walks I may
be planning.
I expect some non-regular
footpath walkers or people unfamiliar with Shipston Country may have some
reservation about “heading off” into the unknown. The book is very helpful in
giving approximate time and distance for each walk. It is worth noting that,
and in addition to those few mentioned in the Book, there are opportunities for
shortcuts should walkers run out of either time, or energy - or both!
In order to help others to enjoy
them as much as I have, I would be pleased to answer queries or discuss details
of any particular walk. Equally I am happy to act as “guide” to individuals or
parties on a route of your choice. Donations to SHN would be appreciated but
are entirely optional.
