Each month, in a 12-month period, we shall pray for a different area in the parishes of Wellesbourne and Walton after which the cycle will start all over again.

Sunday 4th July 5.30pm Evensong at St James's Walton followed by a talk about Amasango School from Jane at 6.15pm

In Loving Memory

On Sunday 11th July at 4.30pm (following tea and cakes at 4.00pm) there will be a service in St Peter's Church to remember those we love who have died. During the service candles will be lit as those we wish to remember are named. It is an opportunity to gather together with others, to share our loss, and seek comfort and hope from God. All are welcome, whether you are recently bereaved, or wish to remember someone who died a long time ago.

These readings may bring you comfort:
A prayer for a loved one departed

You shared life with us: God give eternal life to you.
You gave your love to us: God give his deep love to you.
You gave your time to us: God give his eternity to you.
You gave your light to us: God give everlasting light to you.
Go upon your journey dear soul to love, light and life eternal.

David Adam

Walking with grief, do not hurry
as you walk with grief; it does not help the journey.
Walk slowly, pausing often:
do not hurry as you walk with grief.

Be not disturbed by memories that come unbidden.
Swiftly forgive; let Christ speak for you unspoken words.
Unfinished conversation will be resolved by Him.
Be not disturbed.

Be gentle with the one who walks with grief.
If it is you, be gentle with yourself.
Walk slowly, pausing often.
Take time, be gentle as you walk with grief.
